Richard Lee “Dickie” Altizer, 80 of Green Bay, and formerly of Chester, passed away June 14.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Billie Altizer; brothers, Roger, Rusty, Ronnie and Randy; and a sister, Catherine Erps.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn D. Altizer; two sisters, Betty Hess and Barbara Holloway; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He honorably served our country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Towers. He retired from Landmark Motors in Chester. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cornhole and pitching horseshoes. He will be dearly missed.
The family will receive friends at the Staples Funeral Home in Victoria on Thursday, June 20, from 5 p.m. until the start of services at 6 p.m. There will also be a graveside service at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832 on Friday, June 21, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the Victoria Fire and Rescue, P.O.
