In reference to the July 23 article, “Letter to state expresses frustration,” the funds allocated for the assistant commonwealth’s attorney did not come from the school’s operational budget, but from the special capital expense reserve fund that the Lunenburg County Board of Supervisors created to hold funds for emergent school capital expenses, as they are presented and approved by the board. This is a separate fund from the public schools’ operational budget.
