Chamber announces contest winners

The Lunenburg Chamber of Commerce recently announced the winners of its annual Christmas decorating contest for the business category, which includes inspecting and awarding businesses determined to have the best holiday layout.

Judging was held the evening of Thursday, Dec. 5. Storefronts in Kenbridge and Victoria earned top places in the contest’s traditional and novelty categories. There were no entries in the religious theme category this year.

Virginia Marble located at 1201 E. Fifth Ave., Kenbridge won best overall for the chamber’s business decoration contest, showcasing large wreaths decorated with ribbons and ornaments along with grazing deer on the front lawn.

The Lunenburg Chamber of Commerce Home Decorating Contest will be judged this Thursday, Dec. 12. Judging will begin at 7 p.m.
