Bobby Ellis Jones, age 81, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019. He was born in Tennessee on August 2, 1938 to the late Ted and Eva Gulley Jones. Bobby served his country for 20+ years in the United States Air Force, where he earned the ranking of Master Sargent and was a SR71 “Blackbird” mechanic. He had a passion for playing country music, and was an accomplished yodeler. He adored his family and will be greatly missed.

Cherishing the many memories are sons, Robbie Jones, Tim Jones (Winni) and Jim Jones (Dana) all of Victoria; grandchildren, Andrea Halfhill, Rebecca Jones, Bobby Joe Jones, Morgan Jones and Joey Jones; great-grandchildren, Lily Austin, Jack Lyles, Kaylee Jones and Jinni Lynn Gingras; sister, Gladys Minton of Yorktown; sister-in-law, Marie Jones, numerous nieces and nephews and many, many additional friends and family. Bobby also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Katie-Bug and Squeeky. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet Anderson Jones; his second wife, Mary Jones; and brothers, Daryl Jones and James William Jones.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Cremation Society of Virginia – Southside, Inc. and respects can be made at cremationofvirginia.com.
