The annual Virginian Railway Reunion was held on Oct. 31 at Uptown Coffee Cafe. The highlight of the day was the dedication of the Telegraph and Telephone Maintenance Building which was returned to its approximate location in Railroad Park when it was in use by the Virginian Railway. The building was donated by Glada and Reggie Dunnavant in memory of Walter Thurman Jarvis, Bernard Neal Dunnavant, Shirley Brydie Dunnavant and in honor of Harry Eugene McLaughlin, and all the men and women who worked for the Virginian.
The building is in need of restoration. Anyone wishing to help with this project may make donations to the Town of Victoria, P.O. Box 1421, Victoria, Va. 23974. Indicate building restoration on the memo line of your check.
