J. Terry Nelson, Sr., 53, of Victoria, VA, formerly of Blackstone, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015.  He is survived by his wife, Carol Mallory Nelson; two sons, John T. Nelson, Jr. and Justin T.  Nelson; and a sister, Esther Mae “Bunny” Hudson (Marshall) of Blackstone.  The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, December 5, 2015, with funeral services beginning 1 p.m., at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd. (Bus. Hwy. 460), near Blackstone.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Blackstone.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made to help offset final funeral expenses.
