A major waterline break has left Victoria residents without water and forced the early closure of schools today, Town official Rodney Newton said.

“Town crews are working on repairs,” he said. “Notices on boiling water will be distributed later this afternoon.”

The break prompted Central High School and Lunenburg Middle School to close at 1:30 p.m. and Kenbridge and Victoria elementary schools to close at 2 p.m., the school system website noted.
