On Monday, February 15, 2016, John Henry Watson, Sr. went home to be with the Lord.

John Henry was born May 17, 1945 to the late Richard Clinton and Mary Ester Watson. He was a member of Gill Hill Baptist Church of Keysville, VA. He attended Lunenburg County Public Schools.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his devoted wife of 37 years, Linda Watson of Keysville, VA; children, Jennifer Watson of Richmond, VA, John Watson, Jr. of Farmville, VA; one sister, Margaret Cox (Samuel) of Keysville, VA; one brother, William Watson, Jr. (Sally) of Meherrin, VA; two grandchildren, Kayla Watson and Aden Watson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, February 21, 2016, 2:30 p.m. at Forest Baptist Church, Meherrin, VA with Reverend Otis Spellman, Pastor. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Wilson Funeral Home, Keysville, was in charged of arrangements.
