Rites held for Elizabeth Raiford Turner

Elizabeth Raiford Turner went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2016. Born March 13, 1928, in Victoria, Virginia to George Hunter and Mary Beaton Raiford, Elizabeth was a member of the Victoria High School class of 1946 and a 1950 graduate of Randolph-Macon Women’s College. She was a teacher and homemaker in the Washington, D.C., area for many years, but Lunenburg County was always home. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband David M. Turner Jr., of Kenbridge, and her beloved granddaughter Michelle Stanton Turner. She is survived by her daughter Ellen B. Turner and son-in-law Robert L. Peskin, of Bethesda, Md., and her son David R. Turner, daughter-in-law Kristy K. Turner, and grandsons Austin and James Turner, of San Antonio, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at Victoria Baptist Church on Saturday May 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria, VA.
