Rites held for Fleta Louise Smith

Mrs. Fleta Louise Smith, age 83, of Victoria, died Tuesday June 7, 2016 at her residence. She was the co-owner/operator of Smith’s Grocery and the widow of John Russell Smith.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her two sons: John Stephen Smith of Kenbridge and James “Peanut” Smith and his wife Deborah of Victoria; her two daughters: Helen “Judy” Minnix and her husband Glenn of Victoria and Kaye Edmonds and her husband Randy of Alberta; she is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and one God granddaughter. Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her grandson, Joseph Stephen Smith.

A graveside funeral service was conducted on Friday, June 10 at 11 a.m. in Crestview Memorial Park. The family received friends on Thursday evening from 7-8:30 at Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory.
