William Lesley “Billy” Giles, 68, of Victoria, departed this life February 12, 2017.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Hobert L. and Evelyn L. Giles, and two brothers, Donavon and Steven.

He is survived by his brother, Michael and his family; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Billy graduated with the first senior class of Central High School in 1967. He later completed two years of college where he studied commercial art and photography. Billy loved all forms of art and all types of music; especially the music of Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead. He had a special love for animals and was a lifelong supporter for protecting the environment. Billy retired from BP Short Paving as a truck driver.
