Barbara Shell Rucker, 88 of Chesapeake, VA, formerly of Dundas, died on March 26, 2018. She was the oldest of nine children born to the late Waverly and Lucy Shell.

She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Terrangi of Chesapeake; three grandchildren, Terrell Owens of Chesapeake, Tanya Clary of Kenbridge and Tara Owens of Baltimore, MD; three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Lucy Winfield of Broadnax and Carolyn Shell of Herndon; one brother Cecil Shell of Kenbridge and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A funeral service was held Saturday, March 31, 11 a.m. at Rosebud Baptist Church, Dundas, VA with interment in the church cemetery.
