Anthony Earl Harper

Anthony Earl Harper was born on October 25, 1961, the seventh of ten children born to the late Ernest and Bessie Harper. He departed this life on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at his home in Lunenburg County.

Earl attended Lunenburg County Public Schools. He mostly enjoyed working in drywall construction with his uncles in Lynchburg and as a truck driver.

On May 15, 1986, he married Juanita Brown and this union was blessed with three sons. Earl was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed life and could be “the life of the party”. When he was younger, he liked to fish and shoot pool. Earl was a talented guitar player and would often play alongside his father. He loved spending time with family and sharing words of wisdom with his nieces and nephews.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Bessie Harper: son, Andre; brother, Thomas Lee.

He leaves to cherish great memories his wife, Juanita; sons, Anthony and Alexander; siblings: Melvin Harper (Barbara) of Victoria VA; Rosa Harper of Norman, Oklahoma; Barbara Booker of Kenbridge, VA; Linda Harper of Henrico, VA; Sandra Harper of Richmond, VA; Valerie Seward of Kenbridge, VA; Gregory Harper (Judy) of Highland Springs, VA; Patricia Garland of Kenbridge, VA; nine grandchildren; brother-in-law, Christopher Brown of Maryland; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 17, 1:30 p.m. at the Cornerstone of Deliverance, 3416 Blackstone, Road, Kenbridge.
