John P. McKenney of 2159 Kings Road, Green Bay, Va., born July 31, 1931, passed away October 5, 2018. Preceded in death by his parents, George E. and Alice T. McKenney. Survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty B. McKenney; one daughter, Sheryl McKinney (Claude) and one grandson, Zachary McKinney.

He served his county in the US Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was a farmer and former groundsman for Fort Pickett, Blackstone.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 8, at 2 p.m. in the Laurel Hill United Methodist Church, Blankenship Pond Road, Green Bay with burial in the church cemetery.
