Southern Dominion Health Systems is pleased to announce that Brandon Lipscomb, FNP-C, has joined its medical team as of February 2020.
Lipscomb earned his Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2006 from Tennessee Wesleyan College. He continued his education at James Madison University in 2014 with a postmaster certificate in family care. Mr. Lipscomb then went on to earn his Doctor of Nursing Practice at James Madison University in 2019.
In 2006, Lipscomb worked as an intern at Parkwest Hospital in the Heart Lung Vascular Department located in Knoxville, Tennessee.
From 2006-2014 he worked in the cardiovascular service line at Centra Health. Then, after obtaining his Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license in 2014, he worked at Lynchburg Family Medicine Residency until 2019.
Lipscomb is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He has a special interest in pediatrics and sports medicine. He has been married for 11 years to his wife, Jennifer. He has a daughter, Riley, age 8, and a son Eli, age 3. He enjoys training in mixed martial arts in his free time.
Lipscomb is currently seeing patients at Lunenburg Medical Center on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
He welcomes all ages, scheduled appointments and same day appointments.
