The Kenbridge Yard of the Month belongs to Charles and Paige Berkley, of 132 Tarleton Lane, in Kenbridge.

“When we have those days with temperatures hitting 98 with the heat index at 105, we all look for a place in the shade,” chamber officials said in a press release. “This yard is the place to get out of the sun. Tarleton Lane is a shady street that ends in a dead end. As you travel down this lane, you will see a well-decorated yard on the right with lots of shade and the American Flag out front. This is the kind of yard that says ‘Let’s sit in the shade and watch the July 4th fireworks,’” chamber officials said.

The Victoria Yard of the Month belongs to Eva Clevinger, at 2719 Washington Ave. Ext., in Victoria.

“This yard is loaded with flowers in bloom and loads of rabbits that will never eat the flowers. This is the perfect yard to take that early morning stroll with your coffee cup before it gets too hot and enjoy the beauty of all of God’s flowers.”

The runner-up yard this month belongs to Kathleen Dell at 1518 Ninth St. in Victoria.
